The New York Times on the New Art of Flickr

25Apr08

The New York Times has an interesting piece on how the web has affected long-standing art forms and created new ones. It gives special focus to Flickr, which I think is a great example of a traditional art (photography) converging with the digital age and new media to create not just new exciting art forms, but entirely new social environments and experiences.

There is already an interesting discussion brewing on Flickr.

I also submitted this to Digg.
