I tried to think of a wittier headline, honestly I did…something subtle yet completely effective. The sad truth is that most attempts at subtle, smart humor fail miserably when in the presence of The Office. In recognition of the return of the acclaimed series to the airwaves, I present this treatise.
The author poses some interesting questions, like why most of the quality work on television these days (read: Arrested Development, Firefly, etc.) gets cancelled so that upon turning on the television we are instead overpowered by the putrid smell of decomp coming from Friends or Everybody Hates Chris or any number of “reality” TV shows (Hey, American Idol: Fuck You).
Anyway, the author of the article linked above is also kind of funny. And by the time you’re done reading his diatribe, I will have calmed down, and season four, episode nine of The Office should be hitting The Pirate Bay…and not a moment too soon.
